A gateway to the world, Toulouse airport (4th ranking airport outside Paris) aims to become the main airport of southwest France, connecting the world's major financial centres. Toulouse is the capital of the Midi-Pyrénées region, bordering neighbour of the Languedoc-Roussillon region.

Development work, lasting until 2009, will enable Toulouse airport to gradually offer all users new facilities and major improvements, and a very high quality of service in the long term. Hall D, which will increase the airport's capacity to 8.5 million passengers, designed for both domestic and international flights, is part of this future project.
